Game Institute Enrolment 25th feb 2009!

Well as a major step to getting a job doing what I love, I enrolled at the Game Institute.
I have delved into various areas of game dev over the years amassing a multitude of 'bits and pieces' of knowledge. A pretty bad way to go about it no doubt. With this broken knowledge and some proper direction, I should be well on target to get into the industry come 2010.

I have started the C++ Module 1, which should iron out all the kinks in my c++ coding. Its all console dev stuff. Amazingly I have never bothered with console development before, which is another reason why I can read C++ but not code it the best. I am guilty for skipping straight to the hard stuff your honour.

Then I expect to proceed to C++ Module 2, which starts to talk about 2D and windows and I guess is something to get me understanding tool building and such for games. Also that will be pretty neat to make a heap of mini 2D games in windows.

At that stage I plan on attacking the local industry to hopefully get my foot in the door or even garner some attention whilst I look to study a 3rd Module - Direct X development.

I am very excited.
